Graphic Designer Job Description

Child Evangelism Fellowship’s mission is to reach every child in the world. As the manager of communications, you will be managing all the communications for the King County chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship. To work with us, you will need to affirm our statement of faith.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the CEF of King County Website
  • Design the letters/newsletters, posters, promotional material, and social media posts
  • Maintain social media accounts, i.e. posting regularly, designing social media projects, etc.

    Job Description
    The graphic designer be in charge of both of King County’s social media accounts, Instagram and Facebook, to promote CEF ministry. It would be expected to grow influence and reach as best able, and to keep both social media account up to date and running smoothly. In addition, he/she would manage and update CEF King County’s website via WordPress DIVI theme. This management does not require any special coding to run, except for the Adobe fonts used: Ivypresto Headline and Sofiapro. He/she would be expected to design new pages, keep the pages up to date, and update the design as necessary.

    As part of this job, the design of all promotional material is the sole responsibility of the graphic designer, including but not limited to: posters, flyers, fundraising letters, signs, and virtual material. Adobe Creative suites is supplied to aid in this production. Any media produced by CEF King County would also be his/hers responsibility, which may include editing official photos for the galleries of the website or social media accounts and creating videos for either fundraising, ministry, or promotional nature. Content of said material would not be the responsibility of the graphic designer but the manager of communications or director of the county, such as written body of the letters, descriptions required for events, or titles for events.

    At this time, these responsibilities would be roughly 5-10 hours per week, though exceptions for longer hours can occasionally happen, and the graphic designer would be notified beforehand if such an exception might be coming.

     

    Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suites, specifically Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience in graphic design work required for maintaining websites and creating promotional material
  • Experience in nonprofit work preferred
  • Highschool, GED, or equivalent required, some college preferred
  •  

    Compensation:

  • $20 per hour
